A big update has come out regarding the MPs who separated from Trinamool Congress (TMC). All the 21 MPs who won from TMC, the party of former Chief Minister of Bengal, had joined a party named Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI). Now after months the national officers of NCPI have been appointed.

NCPI has elected Jyotiprakash Chatterjee as its president, while Yusuf Pathan along with Abu Taher have been made vice-presidents. Deepak Adhikari Dev, Jagdish Chandra Burma Basunia, Rachna Banerjee and Chandrima Panja have also been made vice presidents of the party.

Responsibility of party general secretary to six leaders

Apart from this, the party has given the responsibility of party general secretary to six leaders. This includes the names of Utiya Kundu, Mithali Bagh, Bapi Haldhar, Sulekha Bhunia, Vivek Mishra and Suvendu Chakraborty.

12 leaders became party secretaries

At the same time, Nationalist Citizens Party of India has given the responsibility of the post of secretary to 12 leaders. The party has handed over the responsibility of treasurer to Swaroop Jaiswal. Let us tell you that after Mamata Banerjee lost the elections in West Bengal in May, 21 MPs from TMC had joined NCPI. Later all these MPs extended their support to the BJP led NDA.
