Jaipur. There are signs of monsoon becoming active once again in Rajasthan. A new phase of rain is likely to start in the state from August 19. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 10 districts on August 19.

After this, rain activities are expected to increase on 20th and 21st August. However, the weather is expected to remain relatively dry in most parts of western Rajasthan.

Earlier on Monday, the weather remained clear in most places in the state and high humidity troubled the people. During the last 24 hours, light drizzle occurred around Alwar, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Kota, Jalore, Sirohi, Udaipur and Pratapgarh.

Due to rain, there was some relief from humidity in these areas, but the effect of heat and humidity continued in most parts of the state.

Sri Ganganagar was the hottest city of the state, where the maximum temperature was measured at 39.4 degrees Celsius. Whereas in Mount Abu the lowest temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees.

The night temperature in Sriganganagar also reached 29 degrees, due to which people had to face heat and humidity during the day as well as at night.

According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure area over eastern India has now strengthened into a depression. It is likely to move in north-west direction towards West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar in the next 24 hours.

Along with this, the monsoon trough line has also remained towards the north from its normal position. The effect of this change in the weather system can be seen in the form of rain in the eastern parts of Rajasthan.

Rain activities will not completely end in Rajasthan during the next two to three days. Rain will continue in some parts of eastern Rajasthan.

Rain activities are likely to increase in Bharatpur and Kota divisions between August 19 and 21. During August 20 to 23, there may be light to moderate rain in some parts of Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon activities are likely to remain weak in the remaining parts of the state at present. Especially in most areas of western Rajasthan, the weather may remain dry.

In such a situation, while clouds and rain may provide relief in the next few days in eastern Rajasthan, people in western districts may have to face humidity and heat.

This new round of monsoon is expected to provide relief to the areas waiting for rain. However, the impact of rain is likely to vary according to division and district.

After the change in weather from 19th August, the intensity of rain may increase on 20th and 21st August and the temperature may also drop in many areas of the state.
