Rajasthan weather: The weather pattern in Rajasthan appears to be undergoing a complete shift. Due to pre-monsoon activity across the state, conditions vary from thunderstorms and rain in some areas to intense heat in others. Good rainfall was recorded in Rajasthan during the first week of June, providing residents with some relief from the heat and causing a drop in maximum temperatures. Weather in Jaipur
The weather in the capital, Jaipur, has also changed drastically. Winds blowing at 50–60 km/h and rainfall are forecast for the next 24 hours. Jaipur’s maximum temperature has dropped by approximately 7 degrees below normal, settling around 34 degrees Celsius.
Weather in Western Rajasthan
Residents of Western Rajasthan will have to contend with severe heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the scorching heat and intense sunlight may cause discomfort in the coming days.
Weather in Jaisalmer and Sri Ganganagar
An alert regarding severe heat has been issued for Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Hanumangarh, and Sri Ganganagar, effective from June 8. Temperatures will rise sharply. The mercury could reach 44°C. A severe heatwave is expected between June 8 and June 11.
Weather Warning for the Next 5 Days
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather is set to change again starting June 8. The spell of thunderstorms and rain will subside, and temperatures are expected to rise by another 2 to 3°C. The IMD bulletin indicates that between June 8 and June 10, maximum temperatures could reach 44–46°C in parts of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Phalodi in western Rajasthan. Additionally, a new Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Himalayan region starting June 11.
