Shaktinagar / Sonbhadra –

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, a special campaign is being run continuously in the district for effective action against crimes and criminals and for intensive checking of overloaded and heavy vehicles. In this sequence, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and Area Officer Pipri Harsh Pandey, on Thursday, 28.05.2026, a special vehicle checking campaign was conducted by the joint team of Shaktinagar Police Station and Sub Divisional Transport Officer, District Sonbhadra.

During the campaign, a total of 02 heavy vehicles (trailers/highways) laden with sand were stopped and examined. During investigation, both the vehicles were found not to conform to the prescribed standards, on which both the vehicles were seized as per the rules and parked in the Shaktinagar police station premises. Also, the report has been sent to the concerned department for necessary legal action.

Deputy Divisional Transport Officer, Inspector-in-charge Satyendra Kumar Rai along with the police team were included in the team that took action.
