While chasing the target of 188 runs, Mitchell Marsh made an explosive start and hit fours and sixes. But his innings ended in a very shocking manner. He was out standing on non-strike.
Mitchell Marsh gave a tough class to the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In this match, he scored 90 runs in 38 balls at a strike rate of 236.84, but remained 10 runs away from his century. His innings included 9 fours and 7 sixes. Actually, the last ball of 12 overs of the innings, Mukesh Chaudhary bowled full length to Nicholas Pooran. Pooran drove it, but Marsh, standing at the non-striker's end, took a few steps forward and the ball went straight towards the stumps. Then Mukesh jumped and touched the ball with just his little finger and the ball hit the stumps, due to which Marsh was run out. Mitchell Marsh did not even get a chance to return to the crease, due to which he had to lose his wicket.
Unlucky for Lucknow! 🫢😳
