Earlier, Rakesh Bedi Had Dismissed Sequel Rumours
Interestingly, actor Rakesh Bedi had previously shut down rumours surrounding Dhurandhar 3. Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in the films, had told Zoom in an earlier interview that he personally did not think a direct third installment would happen.
According to him, the story had already reached its conclusion with the spy returning to his homeland at the end. However, he also mentioned that Dhurandhar had grown into a franchise and could continue in different forms later, even with a fresh cast or storyline.
His comments suggested that while the original story may have wrapped up, the makers still have room to expand the world of Dhurandhar if they choose to.
Yami Gautam Talks About The Franchise’s Success
Meanwhile, actor Yami Gautam recently opened up about the popularity of the franchise and how success has not changed filmmaker Aditya Dhar personally.
Speaking to Grazia, Yami shared that both she and Aditya continue to stay grounded despite the attention the films have received. She described Aditya as someone who remains calm and humble through both good and difficult phases.
She also spoke about the role spirituality plays in their lives, adding that they strongly believe that what is truly meant for someone eventually finds its way, even if it takes time.
So, Is Dhurandhar 3 Official?
At the moment, Dhurandhar 3 has not been officially confirmed. However, Jyoti Deshpande’s recent statement has definitely added fuel to the rumours and increased curiosity about what the makers are planning next.
