Meghan Markle is reportedly determined to reconcile with one particular member of the Royal Family when she next visits the UK. The Duchess of Sussex, who hasn't stepped foot in Britain since 2022, could visit her husband Prince Harry's home country this summer for a one-year countdown event to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.

Although unconfirmed at the moment, it is believed Meghan will accompany Harry to the event. It has also been reported that the duchess will be looking to make amends with some of Harry's royal relatives when she makes the trip across the pond.

While Meghan, 44, reportedly has difficult relationships with a few members of the Royal Family, it is believed the one royal she really wants to reconcile with is her father-in-law King Charles.

Sources told Naughty But Nice's Rob Shuter in February that Meghan is eager to "sit down and chat" with the monarch when she visits the UK.

The source said: "Charles is her big focus within the family.

"Don't forget, they actually had a great bond at one stage, and she would love to remind him of that.

"She's determined to prove she's not the villain she's been made out to be."

Meghan hasn't seen the majority of Harry's royal relatives since September 2022, when she last visited the UK for the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.

It is believed relationships between Meghan and the royals have not always been smooth-sailing, especially since she was openly critical about royal life in interviews and on TV after quitting six years ago.

This includes in the 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, and on the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan.

Sources say that the duchess is planning to be "armed with a pile of gifts" for Harry's relatives if she visits the UK in June.
