Byndoor: A video of Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole honoring Jayanthi, the principal of Shirur Government Pre-University College, by touching her feet has gone viral on social media. The gesture was a mark of respect for her role in the school's significant improvement in SSLC results.

In the previous year's SSLC exams, the Shirur Government School had recorded a poor result of only 35%. At that time, MLA Gantihole had strongly criticized the principal for the subpar performance.

Taking the MLA's appeal seriously, Principal Jayanthi put in continuous effort and encouraged the students in their learning. As a result, the school achieved an impressive 94% result this time.

Upon hearing the news, MLA Gururaj Gantihole visited the Shirur Government School, touched Principal Jayanthi's feet as a sign of respect, and honored her with a bouquet.

Gantihole praised the staff, stating that warnings are necessary during failures and that his previous criticism was intended to bring about positive change.
