During the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Rinku Singh faced a personal tragedy with the passing of his father due to cancer. After attending his father's funeral, he rejoined Team India. After the match, Priya expressed that Rinku's performance was a tribute to his father, stating, 'We all miss him dearly. This performance was for his father.'
