Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Dr. Todd has an underlying health condition following an awkward encounter with Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).

In recent episodes of the ITV soap, Jacob has taken the brunt of Dr. Todd's (Caroline Harker) bullying campaign as she makes his job at the hospital a misery.

Budding surgeon Jacob has been learning the ropes in the A&E department, and if working in a stressful environment wasn't enough, his boss has been pretty brutal, overworking himand constantly criticizing him.

During Thursday's trip to the Dales (April 2), Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) asked Jacob if he was unwell after hearing him being sick earlier that morning, spurring him on to confess that he was finding his shift pattern hard.

Jacob snapped at Kerry when she suggested he take it slow, and his attitude spiraled throughout the day. Upon his arrival at work, he was teased by a colleague who said Dr. Todd was looking for him, but this turned out to be true when she asked him to apologize to Kim Tate (Claire King) for a misdiagnosis.

The doctor belittled Jacob and assigned him a cleaning task for his shift, leaving him disappointed.

Later, Jacob raised concerns when he witnessed Dr.Todd being aggressive towards a patient and confronted his boss about the situation. But he was shocked to learn that the patient in question is Dr.Todd's dad, who is suffering from the later stages of dementia.

Becoming emotional, Dr. Todd opened up to Jacob about her dad's health and confessed that he had inspired her to become a doctor as he was a neurologist, and she wanted to make him proud.

She added, "When it started, he knew exactly what was happening and what was going to happen, and he made me promise to never feel guilty and never let him become a burden."

Following Dr.Todd's description of her father's dementia diagnosis, some Emmerdale fans are now convinced she also has early-onset dementia, given her unpredictable behavior towards Jacob.

Taking to X, one person wrote: "#emmerdale just a late thought but could Dr Todd maybe have early onset dementia like her dad. She did tell baby Dr Jacob it was mushrooms then denied she said it. She has bad mood swings."

A second stated: "There's a thought", as another chimed in: "Possibly but also remember that a bully is a bully-never forget that folks #Emmerdale."

"So Sweeney has got dementia? Poor Dr Todd...she needs a full apology from Dr Cubb for his outrageous accusations #Emmerdale", added another.
