Tiger Woods fell asleep in the back of a police car after the 15-time major champion was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Woods was involved in a two-vehicle rollover crash after he collided with the back of a trailer in Jupiter, Florida.

The 82-time PGA Tour champion was found with hydrocodone on his person and crouching beside the road after exiting his Land Rover with reportedly no injuries. Following a roadside sobriety test, Woods was subsequently taken into custody and escorted to the rear of a police vehicle, where he moved his head on several occasions after being told not to.

He was placed in the back of the car with a sheet draped over his head, and was seen yawning in the back seat before drifting off to sleep. Sitting in the back of the police car, Woods appeared flustered and agitated after reeling off a list of pain medications he had taken that day.

"I looked down at my phone... and all of a sudden, boom," said Woods in the immediate aftermath of the collision as a queue of cars blocked the road.

Officers at the scene reported that Woods was 'sweating profusely' while they questioned him. They also stated that two hydrocodone painkiller tablets were found on Woods at the time of his arrest, according to the arrest affidavit.

The arresting officer claimed Woods' eyes were 'bloodshot and glassy' as he undertook a series of sobriety tests at the crash scene. As Woods knelt on the ground, the police officer donned black plastic gloves before checking the golf legend wasn't badly hurt.

"Is this comfortable for you?" asked the officer with gloves on, touching Woods' back and legs as he sat on the ground, potentially considering his recent back operation and gradual recovery.

"Yeah, yeah," Woods replied. "All set, I'm cool. Yeah, I'm cool."

Woods stayed calm and polite throughout his exchange with officers at the scene, permitting them to assess him to verify any injuries.

After they were confident that he was unhurt, Woods enquired: "All set?" The other motorist involved in the incident was trying to turn into a driveway on the right side of the road.

"He kept coming," the other driver reported. "I was getting ready to turn in. I don't think he was looking that's the thing. I'm fine, he hit the trailer. I don't even know if I can drive it out of here."
