Consumers are troubled by the shortage of LPG in the town and surrounding villages. Long queues of people are forming at gas agencies to get cylinders. Many consumers have to return empty handed even after waiting for hours.

On Wednesday, a large number of consumers reached a gas agency located on the bypass. There was an atmosphere of chaos regarding gas booking and cylinder distribution. People say that even after booking a week ago, the cylinder is not available.

Consumer Raju, resident of Pura Gurdi Majre Paushala Mohalla, said that he had made gas booking several days ago, but till now the cylinder has not been delivered. Due to this the kitchen arrangement of the house is being affected.

Gas shortage is also affecting business. Dhaba and hotel operators are facing problems due to non-availability of commercial cylinders. Many people are forced to work using coal furnace.

Ram Singh Chauhan, associated with the hotel business, said that recently gas prices have also increased and now the supply has also been affected. This is directly affecting the business.

Local people have demanded from the administration to ensure regular supply of LPG.
