The accused in the car blast case near the Red Fort in the capital Delhi did not get relief from the Patiala House Court even on Wednesday. The special court of National Investigation Agency (NIA) located in Patiala House Court has extended the remand of Jamir Ahmed Ahangar and Tufail Ahmed Shah for five more days. The accused were arrested in the Red Fort blast case in November 2025.



When was the remand of the accused increased?


Let us tell you that earlier both the accused were produced on Friday after the 10-day remand was over, even then the court had extended their remand for five days. On February 25, the NIA special court sent Tufail and Zameer to 10-day NIA remand. Jammu and Kashmir Police had brought the accused to Delhi on production warrant. From here his custody was handed over to NIA.



These are the charges against the accused


Both the accused arrested in the case were accused of collecting arms and ammunition. Umar, Irfan and Adil had allegedly given Zameer a rifle, a pistol and ammunition. It is believed that both he and Tufail are associated with Asar Ghazawat Ul Hind. Earlier, the NIA had arrested several accused in this case, including Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, Adeel Ahmed, Jasir Bilal Wani, Nasir Bilal Malla, Yasir Ahmed Dar, Mufti Irfan Ahmed and Aamir Rashid. All these accused are currently in judicial custody.
