In this series, Meta and Oakley have together launched the new Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses in India. This smart glass has been specially designed keeping in mind athletes, cyclists and users who like outdoor lifestyle. It is considered to be the sports version of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, in which camera, AI and audio technology have been fitted in the frame of the glasses.

Camera, video and calls all straight from the glasses

Oakley Meta Vanguard has a 12-megapixel camera, which records in first person view with 122 degree field of view. Users can record 1080p video at 30fps for up to 5 minutes and 60fps for up to 3 minutes. Apart from this, 3K resolution recording is also possible for a limited time. Recorded photos and videos can be shared directly on meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram. With this smart glass, attending calls, clicking photos and recording videos becomes completely hands-free.

Strong design and light weight for sports

Oakley Meta Vanguard’s wraparound design provides superior eye coverage that protects from bright sunlight, wind and dust. Its weight is about 66 grams, due to which there is no problem in wearing it for a long time. It has got IP67 rating, which means it is largely protected from water and dust. It has Oakley’s Prizm lens technology, which improves outdoor visibility.

Meta AI, Hindi support and UPI Lite

Meta AI integration has been provided in this smart glass, which is called “Hey Meta AI” Can be activated by speaking. Users can recognize songs, ask questions and listen to messages through voice commands. The special thing is that Hindi language support and Hindi voice interaction has also been added to it for India. Not only this, India-focus features like UPI Lite payment control are also present in it. Deepika Padukone’s voice has also been included in the AI ​​voice option.

Price, variants and battery details

The starting price of Oakley Meta Vanguard in India has been kept at ₹52,300. It is available at Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters and select optical stores. It has been launched in four variants, in which different Prizm lens options are available. Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E support has been provided for connectivity. The device has 32GB of storage and the battery lasts for around 9 hours in normal use, while the total battery life with the charging case is said to be up to 36 hours.
