West Bengal AC Local Train: AC local train will start for the first time in West Bengal from this Sunday. This train will give great relief from the heat to the passengers traveling from local daily. This new AC EMU train built in the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai has been given to Sealdah Mandal of Eastern Railway. Due to this, there will be a new change in the state's railway network.

Travel will be completed in just 1 hour 40 minutes

The first AC local train will run between Sealdah to Ranaghat. It will complete the journey in 1 hour 40 minutes and will run at a maximum speed of 110 kmph. It will be a fast service that will only interrupt at select stations, which will make the journey fast and comfortable. The train will stop at Chakdah, Kalyani, Kanchrapada, Nahati, Barrackpore, Khardah, Sodpur, Dum Dum and Vidhannagar stations.

Fare of full route is Rs 120

The entire route fare has been kept at Rs 120, while the lowest fare is Rs 35. There are also different ticket options for passengers-such as daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly passes. This will provide a lot of convenience to those traveling daily.

All facilities will be available in the train

The train has 12 coaches with stainless steel bodies and all are completely ACs. It has a total seating area of 1,126 passengers. The coaches have end-to-end vestibul connectivity so that passengers will be able to easily move from one box to another. Every compartment has CCTV cameras for safety. Passengers have been given a talk-back switch to contact the driver or guard in the emergency. Also, GPS-competent LED display panels have been installed, on which announcements related to time, next station and other travel will be seen and heard.

Please tell that this train will be inaugurated from Sealdah on Sunday. From Monday, it will run daily from Ranaghat. Railways say that this new AC local train will give passengers a comfortable journey in heat and humidity.
