Allu Kanakaratnamma, 94, passed away in Hyderabad due to age- issues. Her funeral will be held in Kokapet this afternoon. Family members including Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are reaching Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The Telugu film industry woke up to somber news as Allu Kanakaratnamma, the respected elder of the Allu family, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, August 30. She was 94 and breathed her last due to age- ailments around 1.45 am.

The mortal remains were brought to the residence of producer Allu Aravind by 9 am, where family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their respects. The funeral will take place later in the afternoon at Kokapet.

Actor Ram Charan, who was in Mysuru, and Allu Arjun, who was away in Mumbai, are expected to arrive by noon to join the family for the final rites. Arrangements are being overseen by Allu Aravind along with Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu, who are currently in Visakhapatnam attending a public meeting, are expected to reach Hyderabad tomorrow to personally convey their condolences to the bereaved family.
