New Delhi: Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 12 kicked off with blockbuster action on August 29 as fans witnessed the first tie-breaker of the season in the second match itself between Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls. Telugu Titans will be in action again after losing against Tamil Thalaivas last night, while UP Yoddhas will begin their campaign against the hosts.

In the second match of the night, Mohammedreza Shadloui’s Gujarat Giants will face off Sunil Kumar’s U Mumba at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag on August 30, Saturday.

Titans showed a glimpse of their attacking raiding unit in the season’s opener game, but despite an impressive performance, they ended up on the losing side. The hosts will be looking to dominate the disciplined defence attack of UP Yoddhas in the first match of Super Saturday.

On the other hand, Yodhas will be looking to start their season 12 campaign on a high note by putting pressure on the hosts after they lost their first game. Yoddhas’ defence and all-rounders will be the key to winning the match.

Mumba have been a traditionally defensive side across the seasons, and again in the new season, their corner duo will challenge the raiders during the match. Mumba’s biggest strength in the defence is to convert the half-chances into a successful tackle to break the rhythm of the raiders.

Whereas the addition of Shadloui will change the fortunes of Gujarat in the new season. With some aggressive raiders and disciplined defenders, Gujarat can test Mumba’s patience in the match.
