Maruti E Vitara Electric: The market of electric cars in India is growing rapidly and now Maruti Suzuki has also jumped in this race. The company is preparing to launch its first electric SUV, E Vitara,. This car is a major step for Maruti, as till now the company was known only for petrol and diesel trains. With E Vitara, Maruti is now entering the segment where Tata, Mahindra and Hyund are already present. Come, let’s know everything about this car!
Maruti’s E Vitara production has started at Hansalpur plant in Gujarat. Its first consignment is being sent to countries like UK, Germany, France and Norway. Its launch in India will be a little late as compared to before, but it is expected that the price will be announced by the end of this year. Its initial price can be around 18 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). With such a price, it can become a strong option in the mid-size electric SUV segment.
E Vitara will get two battery pack options. The first 48.8 kwh battery pack and the second 61.1 kwh battery pack. With a large battery pack, this car will give a driving range of more than 500 kilometers. Both variants will have different power motors. The small battery pack will give 144 PS power and 192.5 Nm torque, while the larger pack will give power up to 174 PS. Talking about charging, it will have fast charging facility, which will charge the battery in just 50 minutes from 0 to 80 percent.
This SUV is built on the HeartEct-E platform, which has been developed by Maruti and Toyota. Its design is quite modern and will get the option of ten different paint shades. All-wheel-drive variants are available in the international market, but only front-wheel-drive version will come in India.
E Vitara is also not behind in terms of features. It has features such as 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.1 inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats and electrically adjustable driver seats. It also has seven airbags, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability programs and Level-2 Adas Technology for safety.
Maruti Suzuki’s E Vitara is not only a great mixture of style and technology, but it is also preparing to achieve a new place in India’s electric vehicle market. Will it compete with Tata and Mahindra? This will only tell the time to come!
