Yes… The Railway Board has issued a notification regarding running 150 Puja Special trains from 21 September to 30 November in view of the heavy rush of passengers during the festivals. These trains will make a total of 2,024 rounds. Railway officials said that under the Puja Special Train series, South Central Railway will run the maximum number of 48 trains, which will make 684 rounds.

Passengers of Bihar will benefit from special trains

A press release issued by the railways said, "These trains will be run mainly from major stations like Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Vijayawada." The press release said, "East Central Railway has notified 14 trains which will pass through major stations like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur in Bihar and will make a total of 588 trips."

Officials said that Eastern Railway Division, one of the busiest routes, will run 24 special trains from crowded stations like Kolkata, Sealdah and Howrah, which will make 198 trips. He said, "Western Railway has announced 24 special trains to make 204 trips from cities like Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, while Southern Railway has also made preparations to run 10 such trains to make 66 trips from stations like Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai."

Apart from Jharkhand, passengers from these states will get benefit

Apart from this, special trains will be run to connect stations like Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur from East Coast Railway, Ranchi, Tatanagar from South Eastern Railway, Prayagraj, Kanpur from North Central Railway, Bilaspur, Raipur from South East Central Railway and Bhopal, Kota from West Central Railway. The Railway Ministry has recently announced 12,000 special trains from different parts of the country during the festive season and officials said that this is the first series of special trains whose notification has been issued.

Officials said, "Keeping in mind the needs of passengers, more train notifications will be issued in the coming days."
