CBSE Admission 2025: CBSE has declared the last date for direct admission and subject change in class 10th and 12th for the academic session 2025-26. Affiliated schools have to complete all admissions and subject modifications by 31 August 2025. After this, no application will be accepted.

Therefore, students and parents are advised to complete the necessary work in time, as delay may cause problems in the examination of the next academic year.

Last date for direct admission in class 10 and 12

CBSE has fixed the last date for direct admission in classes 10 and 12 as 31 August 2025. Schools have to prepare a separate list of all such cases and send it to the regional office by 2 September 2025, along with the required documents. The regional office will approve these cases by 15 September 2025. If admission takes place after August 31 due to the transfer of a government employee parent, then it will be necessary to send the information to the regional office within 2 days of admission.

Deadline for subject change

Schools will also have to request a subject change for class 10 and 12 students by 31 August 2025. The tabular record of all cases and the necessary documents will be sent to the regional office by 2 September 2025. After this, the regional offices of CBSE will review and approve all subject change requests by 15 September 2025.

Admission even after 31 August in the transfer case

CBSE has given exemption for such students whose parents have been transferred under the rules of the government job. In such cases, the student can get admission even after 31 August, but it will be mandatory to send the necessary documents to the CBSE regional office related to the Harkara system within two days of admission.
